FAQS

DOES BACKYARD TEA CONTAIN ANY ALCOHOL?

No, Backyard Tea is a cannabinoid spirit alternative. Think of it like a beer, with cannabinoids instead of alcohol. And much more relaxed and passive.

WHAT IS DELTA-9 THC?

WILL THE PRODUCT CAUSE ME TO FAIL A DRUG TEST?

Backyard Tea with its Delta-9 infusion will almost definitely make you fail a drug test for THC.

IS BACKYARD SAFE TO CONSUME WHILE PREGNANT?

We would recommend speaking with your doctor before consuming any cannabinoids while pregnant or breastfeeding.

How are cannabis beverages different from traditional edibles?

Traditional edibles (like gummies or chocolate bars) are typically higher dose – ranging from 5mg to 30mg to even 100mg THC per edible – and can take anywhere from 45 minutes to two-plus hours to kick in. Why so long? Traditional edibles are typically oil-based, meaning the cannabinoids are absorbed directly into your bloodstream. Cannabis-infused beverages are typically infused with a water-soluble formulation, meaning the cannabinoids are absorbed through your mouth then your tongue then the digestive tract. The immediate absorption in your mouth means you can feel the effects 10 to 15 minutes later. So while Backyard is a low-dose beverage (5mg THC), consumers new to cannabis might feel effects more immediately or intensely. The perk of a faster onset? You’ll quickly know how you feel so you’re in control of your buzz. Take a few sips, wait 10-15 minutes, and adjust. We aim to allow all consumers – new or experienced – the ability to control their buzz.
